Qualification Overview

EBMA Level 2 Diploma in Business and Management aims to equip learners with sound knowledge of the business environment, administrative procedures, customer care, policies and knowledge of how to succeed in business and management role. It assumes no prior knowledge of business, management or administrative skills, therefore, it provides an all-encompassing knowledge of the business environment, management skills, financial operations, customer care skills, and communication skills. These units have been designed to provide learners with the knowledge of how to apply themselves to work and be able to know how to progress their careers in administration and management.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the qualification, learners will be able to -

  • Understand the effectiveness of team working within the organisation.
  • Understand the performance within the business environment.
  • Identify the importance of managing finance.
  • Understand management analysis for the business environment.
  • Understand the principles of good customer service and to provide good customer care.
  • Understand organisation policies to deal with customer requirements.

  • Understand methods to communicate information within the organisation.
  • Understand needs and wants of the customer in new business.
  • Understand how to market products or services in business.
  • Know how to sell products and services

Course Structure

The overall structure of the course is based on four modules that cover a number of topics relating to learning outcomes. Learners will be invited to attend lectures and workshops that will introduce the subject matter. Learners must complete four units successfully and achieve 40 credits before the Diploma can be issued.



Entry Requirements

EBMA does not specify entry requirements for this qualification. Applicants will need to demonstrate their prior learning and skills to allow entry in this qualification.

Assessment
  • To pass a unit, a learner must pass all assessment criteria to achieve learning outcomes. Assessment methods are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) or short questions.
  • All learning outcomes must be assessed using assignment appropriate to the assessment of knowledge, understanding and skills.
  • There must be valid, sufficient, and authentic evidence of all the assessment criteria.
  • A mark of at least 40% is required for a unit to be passed and the credit achieved. This same pass mark applies to all units that contribute to the Diploma. Once a unit pass mark has been agreed by and credit awarded, the student may not be re-assessed in that unit.

Learner(s) can study this qualification directly with EBMA through its virtual learning environment, or via recognised centres. Recognised centres are training providers, employers, colleges or universities, which are recognised by EBMA to deliver this qualification.

Level 2 Diploma in Business and Management is an equivalent qualification to GCSE, O Level or an overseas Secondary School Certificate.
Level 2 Diploma in Business and Management is recognised qualification for entry onto Qualifi Level 3 Diploma in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Level 3 Diploma in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship is recognised onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework through awarding body ‘Qualifi Ltd’ and its accreditation number is 603/1051/0.
